What is a landing page?

A landing page is a website that only has a single page. Think of it like a mini website for your book. When you sign-up for Book Perks you’ll receive a landing page with a url like this: yourbook.bookperks.me. If you own your own domain, you can choose to forward it to your Book Perks landing page. That way people can go to “yourbook.com” instead.

Your landing page will serve as a sales and promotion page for your book or e-book. Customers can also pre-order your book and receive bonus perks (digital downloads).

How do the Pre-Order Book Perks campaign work?

Offering downloadable perks to your customers if they pre-order your book is one of the most effective ways to encourage sales. This popular marketing strategy can also be exceedingly helpful in achieving bestseller status on many book lists when your book launches, as all pre-orders are counted towards the first week of your book sales.

With Book Perks you can offer any digital download with the purchase of your book, including additional e-books, PDFs, artwork, music files, videos, audio books, and more. You can even choose from some of our pre-packaged perks provided by our partners. The more you offer, the bigger incentive customers will have to order your book before it’s out.

Once your book launches for sale, you can choose to disable the perks or continue to offer them with each book purchase.

How much does is cost to sell my e-Book on Book Perks?

To sell your e-book on Book Perks you must first subscribe to either the E-Book Plan or the Individual Book Plan. You cannot sell your e-book with the free plan. This is the only cost to you for selling your e-book on Book Perks.

We do not handle sales of physical books, but will link to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any other online booksellers of your choice, from your landing page.

We handle all payment processing when someone purchases your e-book on our website. We charge each customer a 4% credit card processing fee with each purchase. This fee covers our merchant costs, and is not passed on to you. You keep 100% of what you choose to sell your e-book for.

So if you choose to sell your e-book for $5.00, each customer who purchases your book will be charged $5.20 and you will receive $5.00 per sale.

Can I use my own domain name for my Book Perks landing page?

When you sign-up for Book Perks you’ll receive a landing page with a url like this: yourbook.bookperks.me.

If you own your own domain name, such as yourbook.com, then you can forward your domain to your Book Perks landing page. Most domain companies will also allow you to mask the URL or use a CNAME record so that the user will see yourbook.com in their browser instead of yourbook.bookperks.me.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not satisfied with the landing page for your book, it is our desire to keep working with you until we build you one you love.

If we simply can’t meet your needs, we’d be happy to give you a 100% refund if requested within 30 days of your initial purchase.

Is this site secure to make payments online?

Making payments on BookPerks.me is safe and secure! Pages on this site that collect your personal data and payment information are secured using SSL encryption. All payment processing is securely done through Stripe, and we never store your credit card information.

How do you verify if someone actually purchased the book before giving them free Perks?

Customers are able to make their book purchase through Amazon.com, BN.com, or any other bookseller that has your book for sale. Before a customer is able to access the free Book Perks you offer on your book landing page, they must upload a copy of their receipt through our website. We then verify their purchase with the retailer before granting them access to the perks.

Can I make changes to my landing page?

As most of our customers don’t want to hassle with design and coding, we currently do not offer the option for customers to edit the pages themselves. So if you need something changed, just ask. We’ll provide small changes as needed for no additional charge.

Significant changes or a completely new design may incur an additional design fee up to the full price of a new page.

Can I change the book offered on my landing page?

You would need to start a new one in order to change the book you are offering.

How do I delete my page?

If you no longer need your page please contact us to remove it. We can also provide you a WordPress backup file of your site and database if needed, for a one-time fee of $49.
